On August 27-30th, sponsored by China Sand and Gravel Association, a grand opening ceremony of 7th National Sand and Gravel Aggregate Industry Science and Technology Conference with the theme of "Science and Technology, Engergization, Mission and Responsibility" was held in Shijiazhuang, Hebei province. As the vice president unit of China Sand & Gravel Association and the leading enterprise of sand & gravel equipment industry in China, NHI actively exchanged the latest achievements and advanced practical technologies with many senior experts and scholars domestic and overseas to promote the healthy and orderly development and high-quality development of the sand and gravel aggregate industry. This was after the successful assistance opening of the sixth National Sand and Gravel Aggregate Industry Science and Technology Conference when NHI successfully accomplished the restructure, NHI again showed itself in the national sand and gravel industry with a new image and good performance.

Good Reform Policies Revived the Enterprise Business

NHI is the first enterprise in China to produce the equipment related sand and gravel aggregate with a full set of sand and gravel aggregate process design and equipment manufacturing capacity. Since the 1980s, NHI has provided large crushing equipment and sand making equipment for the construction of the Three Gorges Project, Xiaolangdi hydropower station and Ertan hydropower Station. The quality and technical services of the equipment have been well received praise by the industry.

However, as an old state-owned enterprise with a long history and a pivotal position in China's heavy machinery industry, NHI has created many "firsts" and made great contributions to the national economic construction with brilliant achievements. While the old state-owned enterprises, known as the cradle of China's heavy machinery industry, has fallen behind in the tide of the market economy. Years of losses have hobbled the company’s business.

In accordance with the decisions and arrangements of Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Government and Shenyang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, through legal implementation of "judicial reorganization" under Liaoning Fangda Group, introduction of strategic investors and rescues of the enterprise, a new Northern Heavy Industries Group Co., Ltd. was established. As a major state-owned enterprise in the field of heavy machinery and equipment manufacturing, professional attention was received due to the reform of NHI. On April 30th, 2019, Liaoning Fangda Group has legally become the largest shareholder of NHI after the company successfully completed its judicial restructure and mixed-ownership reform. Since then, NHI has changed into a mixed ownership company jointly owned by Fangda Group and ordinary financial creditors from a state-owned holding company.  

After the mixed reform, relying on Liaoning Fangda Group's fully market-oriented system and mechanism, strong capital and resource advantages and new concept of operation and development, the company has become more dynamic and competitive in the market through a series of deepening reform measures, the revitalized NHI embarked on a second entrepreneurial new charter.

Vibrant Mixed Ownership Reform Makes the Enterprise Confidence to Expand the Market

With the strong support of Liaoning Fangda Group, NHI successfully hosted the 6th China International Sand and Gravel Aggregate Technology Conference held by China Sand and Gravel Association, which attracted foreign merchants from Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, Denmark, South Korea, Malaysia, India, the united Arab emirates and some countries along the "One Belt And One Road". The new change of NHI has won the trust of customers and focused the eyes of domestic and foreign merchants again.

As a key enterprise leading the design, development, production and manufacturing of machine-made sand equipment in the sand and gravel aggregate industry, named by China Sand and Gravel Association to participate in the revision of two national standards GB/T 14684 Sand for Construction and GB/T 14685 Pebbles and Crushed Stone for Construction, it become increasingly prominent to highlight the leading position of NHI in the field of sand and gravel aggregate equipment manufacturing.
