From 21st to 22nd August, a team of 4 people including project client and supervisor carried out Category A equipment inspection (also known as "important equipment inspection") before delivery for primary and secondary cylinder mixer of sintering plant manufactured by Fangda Group Northern Heavy Industries Group Co., Ltd. (NHI for short). After careful inspection by users and supervisors, the cylinder mixer for Bao Steel Zhan Jiang project has been inspected successfully. Bao Steel Zhan Jiang Steel Company has realized the first time inspection of important equipment before delivery for this project in this year, after Fangda Group NHI successfully passed on-site evaluation by Bao Steel’s supplier last year, which also marks a new stage in the close cooperation between Bao Steel Zhan Jiang Steel Co., Ltd and NHI.

Cooperate with Bao Steel to Draw New Blueprint of Cooperation and Development

As a strategic investor, Fangda Group has brought  the complete market-oriented system and mechanism, strong capital resources and brand new operation development concept to NHI through a series of measures such as the reconstruction of the management system, the rationalization of the management system, the reconstruction of the technical innovation system, the restoration of market resources, and the comprehensive treatment of the traditional imperfect management systems. Standing on the new development coordinates, NHI took the initiative to resume favorable situation of long term cooperation with strategic partners. With elaborately planning of the marketing staff, cooperating with functional departments and joint efforts of personnel, Bao Steel finally was impressed by the sincerity and excellent strength of NHI. From 26th to 29th June 2019, the three-day on-site supplier review was conducted in NHI, including system management, customer management, technological research and development management, procurement management, production process control, delivery and service, quality control and sustainable development etc. The evaluation is not only a review of the whole process of NHI from contract signing to product commissioning and extended service, but also a comprehensive review of its operation and management level. On 12th July 2019, Bao Steel officially announced that NHI passed the supplier review smoothly with a high score of 712.57. So far, a new page has been turned in the history of cooperation between Baosteel and NHI. After the rebirth, NHI built on the momentum and drew a grand blueprint for cooperation and development together with Baosteel.

Seize Production, Scientific Scheduling, Focus on Conquering Difficulties

Walking into Metallurgical Power Station Equipment factory, the assembly #2 workshop in F01 plant is in a busy scene. The key product of NHI - cylinder mixer for Bao Steel Zhan Jiang Steel sintering plant is in the process of assembly. The cylinder mixer is mainly composed of transmission device, cylinder body, supporting rollers and baffle rollers. The mixer is a rotary cylindrical mixer with gear transmission for primary mixing chamber. The supporting rollers and side baffle rollers are important components for mixer. The single part is heavy in weight and the assembly precision is high. In order to ensure product quality, workshop head Chen Lei often supervises workers to check design drawings and assembly process in advance, also communicates with the engineers in time, to ensure all parts are qualified before assembly, which avoid rework problems from the beginning. At the same time, the workshop strictly controlled the basic management and strictly implemented process discipline, every employee is required to be responsible for the product in terms of the system. A quality atmosphere is created in the workshop where the previous procedure is responsible for the next procedure and the next procedure is the check of the previous procedure. In the production process, the workshop made predictions based on "worker, machine, material, method and environment", sorted out risk points and took measures in advance, timely informed the production team about key production points, precautions and potential problems, and scientifically and rationally allocated machine and personnel for Bao Steel Zhan Jiang Project. The production team timely broke down the production plan and held a production meeting to communicate the production information to each employee in real time. The workshop analyzed and summarized the problems occurred in the assembly process. At the same time, the workshop is target-oriented, constantly improving the work of workshop and team to ensure that production task is completed on schedule.

"If time is short, we will arrange work more tight; High requirements will make our technical level higher; the task is heavy, our responsibility will be heavier." The front-line worker said. NHI assigned the manufacturing works of secondary cylinder mixer for Bao Steel Zhan Jiang Steel Company to assembly 1# team of Mining & Building Materials Equipment Workshop. As it is known to all, this task is a "tough bone". In order to complete this production task excellently, under the leadership of assembly 1# team head Lin Haifeng, they worked overtime to overcome every difficulty. In the assembly process of rollers, faced with the situation that there are no lifting screw holes on main shaft, they added lifting holes on shaft end surface after communicating with the technical department, so as to meet hot-assembly of main shaft and roller. In order to avoid the situation that the locking block of the locking nut cannot correspond to the shaft and the locking groove, they marked out the location of nut locking groove and used the lathe to reprocess the snap ring groove, and ensured that the stop block corresponds to the shaft and the locking groove of the locking nut, and ensure the product assembly accuracy.

NHI Passed the Inspection of Important Equipment Before Delivery

Through the joint efforts of the staff, the primary and secondary cylinder mixer manufactured by NHI for sintering project were successfully manufactured. Recently, the leaders of sintering project team, equipment material procurement center and consulting equipment supervision department of Bao Steel Zhan Jiang Steel Company went to workshop to check manufacturing situation for mechanical parts, welding parts,  assembly work after listening to NHI manufacturing schedule and work arrangement. According to the A inspection outline, sampling inspection and verification were carried out on the manufactured parts such as shell, idler, roller shaft and thrust roller etc components. The client has checked the material list, flaw detection report, heat treatment report, dimension record and other documents in detail, also tested the dimension, hardness and other key characteristic values in workshop. After the completion of the site A inspection, customer gave full affirmation to the products and proposed some suggestions. Base on the customer demand, NHI will be taking advantage of the trend and constantly improving the product manufacturing capacity to create high-quality projects and reshape the new glory of NHI.
