In May 2023, China's first 100% domestically produced TBM was born in Shenyang. During this period, more than 40 upstream and downstream enterprises jointly overcame the bottleneck technologies such as main bearings, fully realizing the independent manufacturing of TBM. This breakthrough not only fills the domestic gap, but also rewrites the rules of underground engineering equipment with a huge volume of 6.44 meters in diameter; In September 2023, China's first full section potassium salt mining machine completed factory acceptance, achieving a continuous mining capacity of 1600 tons/hour and injecting new momentum into strategic resource development; In 2024, the "Endeavour" TBM set a world record for the longest single machine excavation of 26.5 kilometers deep in the Mount Tianshan; The EQC5970 mining tunneling machine refreshes the efficiency of tunnel excavation at a speed of 600 meters per month.

In 2024, the key technology and complete equipment for conveying and mixing anti-seepage soil materials for the ultra-high earth and rock dam of Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Station, independently designed and developed by NHI, completed the national scientific and technological achievement evaluation. In the automatic mixing system project of Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Station, NHI has overcome multiple technical difficulties. The system adopts advanced intelligent control technology to achieve precise control of concrete mix proportion, with an error controlled within ± 1%. Through independently developed intelligent scheduling algorithms, the system can automatically adjust the mixing ratio according to construction requirements, greatly improving construction efficiency. This project has overcome a series of major technological problems, improved the overall scientific research and innovation level of the enterprise, and the core technology of the research results has independent intellectual property rights. It has been authorized with 11 invention patents and led the preparation of 1 group standard. The successful operation of this project has provided valuable experience for engineering construction in similar environments and has become a new benchmark for bulk material handling equipment.
