On October 14th, the 2025 China Heavy Machinery Technology Conference was successfully held in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. Gao Yong, Vice President of the Northern Heavy Industries Design and Research Institute, Liu Gang, Director and Professional Chief Engineer of the Mining Equipment Design and Research Institute, and Tong Hailong, Team Leader of the Machining Workshop of the Major Components Branch, were respectively appointed as the first batch of chief experts, young experts, and chief technicians in the Industry.

This conference summarized the achievements of scientific and technological innovation development in the heavy machinery Industry during the 14th Five Year Plan period from the aspects of scientific and technological innovation environment, scientific and technological innovation system and capacity building, and major achievements in scientific and technological innovation. At the same time, it provided clear guidance on the direction and key tasks of scientific and technological innovation development during the 15th Five Year Plan period.
